WHAT IS INSIDE?

1.9kg FSC-certified organic natural rubber.

400g recycled natural rubber.

120g cotton (organically grown).

For maximum slip resistance, durability and cushioning, we rely on an innovative three-layer technology:

1. Slip resistance: 
The upper layer of the OCEAN MAT consists of certified FSC natural rubber, which guarantees maximum slip resistance thanks to its open structure. Natural rubber is a rapidly renewable and naturally degradable resource.

2. Durability:
For maximum durability, we use an innovative fabric made from sustainably grown cotton on the inside of the mat. This is connected to the top and bottom of the mat by high heat and forms the stabilizing core of the OCEAN MAT. By using heat, we also prevent the use of toxic adhesives.

3. Cushioning: 
We use a second layer of natural rubber for additional cushioning. In the lower layer of the OCEAN MAT we process production residues from the rubber industry, which we save from waste.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR MAT

• Pay attention to short-cut toenails and avoid sharp-edged objects on the mat  (e.g. the zipper of a yoga pillow). As a natural product, natural rubber does not have the same robustness as plastic. As a result, most of the mat is biodegradable. But that also means that you have to take special care of your OCEAN MAT. Pointed and sharp-edged objects in particular can damage the natural surface of the OCEAN MAT.
• Wipe your mat with a damp cloth after every use, but at least once a week.  You should then let your yoga mat dry well before you roll it up again. So your mat always stays nice and non-slip.
• Do not use soap or chemical detergents.  For particularly intensive care, you can mix a vinegar / water solution in a ratio of 1: 3 yourself. Simply apply and wipe with a damp cloth. 
• Avoid exposing your mat to direct sunlight for long periods of time  - this will make the material porous.
• Don't shower your mat -  Showering the mat can cause rubber to loosen from the mat.
