The new BaseLantern is also the first networkable BioLite product, so that it can be used to build a mini smart grid that can be controlled via Bluetooth.

The internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery generates light or electricity for up to four smartphones for up to 54 hours. The energy analysis function of the app allows you to read the charge status of the battery and to plan further use accordingly without surprisingly being without light or electricity. No more guessing how much juice is still available, the app shows the corresponding time down to the minute. The app itself works with Low Energy Bluetooth, which means it consumes very little energy. It is also based on an Open Standard Platform so that it can be individually adapted by the users.
