HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY

Palm & Pine is on a mission to clean up sunscreen, one plastic bottle at a time. With two vegan, plastic-free, mineral sunscreen products for those who care about sustainability and style. Developed and manufactured in Europe.

Successfully crowdfunded in 2019 raising €22k through preorders, Palm & Pine launched in June 2021 after navigating a challenging journey to market teamed with the global pandemic. The brand stands out from other mineral sunscreens as both products are 100% vegan and plastic-free, coining the description protection without pollution.

Palm & Pine launched with 2, mineral, vegan, fragrance-free sunscreen products. The daily SPF 30 lotion - suitable for all over use, and SPF 50 tinted zinc providing waterproof protection for surf and sports. The range is 100% vegan, reef safe, and plastic free.

MANUFACTURING

Our raw materials are COSMO certified which is the governing body of natural and organic cosmetics. The ingredients are sourced from within Europe and comply with the cruelty free law enforced in 2013. Our packaging is made from recycled aluminium and can be recycled after use. We are in the process of applying for leaping bunny status to certify that we are cruelty free and will be seeking certification from Vegan Society, also. Both conduct stringent supply chain analysis in order to grant certification. Going forward we our goal is to become B Corp certified, also.

Our formulator is a professional cosmetic chemist who is also a European Union safety assessor. She operates according to ISO regulations and those set out by the European Union regarding ingredients, formulation, testing, and registration. Our ingredients are certified by COSMOS so this sets the standard for our raw materials (cruelty free, sustainable, and non-nano), and then our certifications will further demonstrate that the brand meets the stringent supply chain analysis required to be granted the certifications. The products are tested according to the EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, certified and registered on the CPNP.
